  GANANJALI 2004

True to its mission and commitment to promote the artistic, cultural and literary talents of the Pravasi Malayalee community in the USA, the Malayalee Association of Maryland showcased a truly talented local and international artist Mr. Christie Fernandez in a show filled with a variety of magificient art and dramatic creations.
Mr. Thomas P Antony-Chairman & CFO of the Malayalee Association of Maryland introduced Christie to the audience. He pointed out the the success MAM has had in promoting the cultural, artistic & literary talents in the American Malayalee community.
Mr. Prasad Nair showcased the whole show in the form of a drama shell. Gifted drama artist John Paulose directed the drama and performed with Bose Varghese and Lenji Paulose John. The eminent drama artists led the audience into the GANANGALI 2004. Prasad Nair also presented color commentary in a truly dramatic way.

Christie and his troup presented an exceptionally high quality variety show. The truly nostalgic old is gold songs captivated the audience with high quality performances from Megha Jacob, Lawrence, Christy Rajan, Georgie, Michael Fernando and Rajan Mathai. It truly took the audience back to the 50’s to 70’s Malayalam & Hindi songs and films ranging from CHEMMEEN to DOSTI. Then there was the very hilarious and laugh to death comedy lines from the ever gifted Suresh Manjali and his troupe. The show was so hilarious that the audience kept asking for more and more.
The dance by professional artists from the dance academy of Smt. Janaki Sivaraman was of such quality and unparallel that the audience demanded more of it.

Henry Thomas did the Video production of the show. Horizon Photographic Manager Mr. Mathew Karmel was in charge of photography. Many thanks to him. Sunnichen Karuvelithara took charge of Admissions & Security and Sen Thundathil was in charge of floor Management. Prasad Abraham, Santhosh Kavanakudy and Blesson Lucose were in charge of box office. They all did a fine job.

Around half way through the program Christie’s latest musical album ORUKAZHCHAYAYI was released by Rev George Kallampallil, Director of Syro-Malabar mission of Baltimore.
  

President Mr. Joseph Pothen offered vote of thanks. He specially thanked Grand Sponsor ASIANET-USA And patron Sponsor Antony & Annie Chemmannor. Other sponsors were Sunnichen Karuvelithara and Dr Biju Cyriac.
